Dataquest wins top environmental award for the 7th year

We are ecstatic to announce that Dataquest have once again been awarded the Green Achiever Scheme – Gold Standard Award for the seventh consecutive year! Hooray!

At Dataquest we are extremely passionate about retaining our exceptional environmental standards. Being ‘green’ is something we practice in-house and strive to translate that importance to all of our clients. While integrating Smartech to Dataquest Ltd we have made investments in infrastructure, which have dramatically reduced our carbon footprint.

• In May 2016, our IT department condensed and virtualised most of our servers therefore using less server machines. This same processhas also been applied to 20% of our IT clients and is an ongoing process.
• By refining our print management software PaperCut, since June 2016 we have further reduced our paper consumption and wastage – Saving on average an additional 7% of paper waste per person!
• Our Telecoms team have been pushing for more remote access, saving fuel consumption by 10%.

Good environmental practice continues to be a regular agenda in our quarterly Management meetings and we actively seek out new ways to prevent pollution and reduce our carbon footprint.

Our Environmental Champions; Yashmin Kelman and Kristen Barnes (pictured above) will continue the good work to maintain our Gold Standards, and make further improvements over the next 12 months.
